At the helm of Sacred Sounds Music Inc. is Joseph A. Marno, who has distinguished himself in the music industry for over 31 years. He is a gifted producer that knows how to intensify the natural musical talent of any artist to make each project a work of art. The gospel and jazz infused mélange of music he creates will never be out of style. Beyond his musical abilities, Joseph is also well known for his integrity and values.
Deborah Diak - Executive Director & Board Member
Deborah Diak’s executive management background is wide-ranging. She has 30+ years of experience running large organizations and has consulted for top business leaders to form strategic and marketing plans and reorganizations. Ms. Diak left the corporate world to blend her two passions; music and helping others develop their strengths.
Carl Lester El II - Music Director
Carl Lester-El II is a renaissance musician. He is a master bassist, guitarist, drummer and percussionist. Equally comfortable as a soloist and accompanist, Lester-El adds rhythm, magic and style to any project he touches.
Theresa Thomason - Soloist/Vocalist
Vocalist Theresa Thomason's enormous vocal talent began to emerge at the age of thirteen when she won national acclaim for her performances in jazz, gospel, and rhythm and blues. Her winning performance at the famous Apollo theatre in New York helped to hone her skills on stage. Theresa has had a succession of sold-out concerts in more than 150 European cities as well as in the USA. She is a featured artist with Grammy Award winning Paul Winter Consort. and performs annually at St. John the Divine, a famous New York City cathedral. Many of these performances have been televised on PBS and NBC, securing Thomason's box office appeal. In 1999 Thomason released her first collaborative CD, "Sound Over All Waters". Thomason's latest CD release, "Ten Hymns" is acoustic gospel at it's best and belongs in every music collection.
Rudy Faulkner - Vocal Director
Rudy Faulkner studied classical music along with Jazz at Norfolk State University and Virginia Commonwealth University. Rudy's powerful and creamy voice gave him the opportunity to open for the likes of Clarke Terry, Carmen Mcrae, Jon Hendricks, Betty Carter and Rene Marie. Faulkner regularly performs in the Contemporary Jazz Market with FRENS, a Richmond, VA favorite, serving as lead vocalist and percussionist.
